I truly believe that if you're going to photograph a dog in the water, you need to grit your teeth, kick off your shoes, roll up your pants and get on in there. Don't photograph action from the sidelines.

Clifford, the big sooky lala, is also an amazingly powerful body of muscle. Watching him burst through the water is truly mesmerising.

Friends! I have discovered an elusive Whippet-Rabbit. Or Rappet? Whibbet? Very rare and hilariously adorable. I shall name him Devo. (Casey and Scott, feel free to tag yourselves/share - FB won't let me tag you!)

Best friends don't mind sharing! A sneak peek of Clifford and Kobe playing in the water at Countrywide Cottages. This is the reason I always suggest a Sleep & Smile package for group sessions - it's a fun weekend away with your friends (the bigger cottages can sleep 8 people) AND your photos will include your furries playing with their besties! I don't discourage drinking wine during the session either ;)

Oh boy - all my clients here will know how crazy I am about nose portraits. Even when I know we're designing a display that a nose portrait won't suit, I just can't help capturing one. I love that every dog nose pattern is totally unique, just as no two human fingerprints are alike. This is Freia, a gorgeous 7 year old chocolate lab. And her nose :)

Oh boy - the people have spoken :D Well in that case - here is my first ever official sneak peak! I've been working on Sophie and Molly's session whilst in America visiting Johnny's family - this two little girls put the biggest smile on my face. Especially when I remember how very shy Molly (on the left) was initially - I spent the first half of their session working with her quietly, from a distance because she was NOT a fan of the big black camera. By the end she was prancing around, showing off like the gorgeous girl that she is! I was so proud of her :) (Anne and Maree - feel free to share and tag your lovely selves!)
