Woohoo! We grew to over 6000 likes last night! I just want to say that I am forever grateful for the support, love and kindness of you all. Every message, every comment, every share puts a smile on my face. I feel like on this page I have a family of animal lovers who won't judge me when I admit that my cat made me cry and won't roll their eyes when I post yet another photograph of my Lyra bear - because I know that they feel exactly the same about their own furries. Thank you for being there when I was sick with nerves about Misty's health, thank you for inspiring me on my sad and tired days, thank you for helping me fundraise for so many awesome charities. Most of all, thank you for building the business that still has me waking up in giddy disbelief. If you were here next to me, I wouldn't even care that you would have seen me in my ridiculously pink dressing gown. It would be worth it to be able to thank you in person. I would wrap my arms around you and plant the same big, sloppy, happy kiss on your face as Kirstie is to Flee in this photo. Love you all! x Caitlin

She leans in close, rubs her face against mine. And just like that – my heart rate slows, my brow unfurrows and I can breathe again. It's not her time to go, not just yet. Life is too wonderful while she's in my world. Misty's Story: Part Three is on the blog (link in the comments).

So dehydrated and emaciated she could barely stand. Covered in pustules, sores and lumps. Stella was in a bad way. Then Pets Haven rescued her. She was rushed to the emergency vet. After antibiotics and lifesaving fluids, plus the gentle care and love of the PH volunteers and her foster carer, Stella is on the road to recovery. She still needs surgery for cancer, but this will need to wait until she has built up her strength and weight. Throughout the ordeal, Stella has been so sweet and gentle. She has won the hearts of Pets Haven. They are committed to giving this gorgeous girl everything she needs to ensure a complete recovery, so that she can eventually find her forever home. You can follow Stella's journey on the Pet's Haven Animal Shelter page You can make a donation via Paypal (donations@petshaven.org.au) or Bank Transfer (Pets Haven Fund Account BSB:033 118 Account Number: 373 786)

Flee's Slideshow

Flee

Flee's Ragamuffin Pet Photography session took place in St Kilda, Melbourne. We spent the afternoon in Alma Park, then once the sun had set Kirstie, Flee and I went to the St Kilda night market near Luna Park and the beach, to browse the busy stalls and snack on steaming food.
